Stop Me If I've Heard This

Even though we have published this episode twice already, we really felt the need to pay tribute to one of Portland's brightest starts. Darcelle (AKA Walter Cole) passed away at 92 yesterday leaving Portland without one its brightest stars. Give a listen and you'll see what a funny and warm personality we have lost. 

Susan's weekend travels, Art's trip to the cardiologist, some stories about our St. Patrick's Day shows over the years, and some stuff about Trump's looming indictment. Some funny stuff, and some angry stuff. And then some recommendations about shows for those of you that stick through to the end. 

Our buddy John Wing stops back by via zoom to talk about his latest ventures. John is a comedian, poet, writer, and musician who's appeared on America's Got Talent, and toured North America for 43 years even though he's younger than either of us. He has a podcast The Bad Piano Player available on all platforms and also has really funny stories. He talks about life on the ships, getting back into a groove after Covid, and his family. Always a blast hanging out with the very funny John Wing

Susan had some gigs, Art's dad got Covid on his 100th so he stayed at home and did some DIY plumbing to cure his haunted toilet. 

As Art celebrates the twenty year anniversary of surviving his cardiac arrest, he also prepares to go to Bend for his father's 100th birthday party. So we started talking about mortality and end up talking about what we used to eat growing up and what we're eating now. TV dinners to healthy dinners. 

Well, we decided to keep the fun going for another year. We probably won't publish every week but when we have something new to talk about... like the last month. Art got Covid. Then he got better. Both of us taped a show for possible distribution, and Art had a weekend performing in Lincoln City and looked for the mythical ornamental glass balls that are supposedly hidden in the sand. (right next to the gnomes and leprechauns) 

All we want for Christmas is a chance to chat about the world, corporate gigs, holiday traditions, and enjoy a warm beverage. Check, check, and check. 

We're still having a fun time getting together and swapping stories. This time we go on about Thanksgiving mishaps and memories and talk about the news a little. 

Susan and Art talk about their respective shows, the midterms, and what's the haps. 

We say our final farewells to our friend Donna Richards and talk about her memorial service, Art's trip to L.A., and a brief bit about the Jan 6 hearings.
