2020 Trends to Look For

We don't have a crystal ball but we do have the internet. And we looked it up! In this episode Susan and Art go on about what we can all expect in the coming year. 

Forgeting 2019

We decided not to go over all the events that stressed us out or bummed us out in 2019. We all know the highlights... or rather the lowlights. Plenty to try and forget. So mostly we talked about some of the good things that happened in the year we just got through and tip a glass of bubbly to a kinder, better 2020. 

Festive Yuletide Stuff

Different than "Holiday Randomness, this episode is all about Christmas ups and downs. It's the most __________ time of the year. I'm sure each person has their own word to fill in that blank. And it's two months of the year every year, whether you're Christian, Jewish, or Muslim, atheist or agnostic, there's no escaping the gauntlet of December.  So wax your candles and strap on your jingle bells. Grab a glass of eggnog and some figgy puddin'. Santa Claus is coming right at you. Ready or not.  

Episode 75 / Vince Valenzuela

Our multitalented friend Vince Valenzuela has been a comedian, actor, and voice over talent for decades. He appeared with Timothy Hutton in episodes of Leverage and had a recurring role on Grimm. Vince talks about his struggles to overcome being type cast as a Latino comic and actor and his early days learning the art of overcoming fear in auditions. We think you'll love him as much as we do. 

Holiday Randomness

We started talking about all the stress around the holidays and then, maybe because of the stress, got off topic and more off topic. We weren't drinking but we feel the need to say we weren't drinking. Fun episode.

 On a warm August night in 2018 on the Jersey Shore a crowd was doubled over in fits of laughter. The reason was Minneapolis comedian Kristen Andersen-Anderson. This hysterically funny woman joins us to tell of the night she "Killed"...and then almost died. Kristin tells her story of surviving a Type A Aortic Dissection, the same silent killer that claimed actor John Ritter.

Bonus Episode/ Writing

This isn't a writing workshop. And it's probably only going to be interesting to some of you. So we decided to make this a bonus episode where we talk for a bit about our writing habits, the habits of some other comedians, and some changes in comedy writing since we began. It's not quite 50 minutes so we don't go too deep but it'll give you some idea how we make talk words good.
