Happy Birthday Darcelle

It's the episode so nice, we aired it twice. Walter Cole, a.k.a. Darcelle turned 90 this week. So we decided to re-release our recording of this Portland legend. He's the oldest working drag queen in the world and as such, has the most interesting stories of anyone we've had on our show. He shared with us what the gay club scene was like back in the sixties in Portland, how different it is now, and what his life story has been about. We feel honored and thrilled that we were able to capture this time with the one and only Darcelle.

We recorded this the day that Joe and Kamala were announced as our 46th President and Vice President. It's a happy day for people around the globe and we were joined by Canadian comedian Jan Banister who offered us congratulations and chatted about her years as a comedy teacher before and during the pandemic. 

Mental Break with Duane Goad

It's Election Day and we need a laugh. We taped the night before so we don't know the results yet. But we do know we need to laugh more than ever. That's why we asked our friend and guest from last year Duane Goad. And Duane delivers the laughs. Born in Canada, he is one of the most upbeat and creative comics around and just the tonic we needed on this fingernail biting evening before Nov 3rd. Enjoy.

The elections are one week away and tensions are rising. Yikes! Will we finally kicking His Royal Orange-ness to the curb or will we be looking at New Zealand immigration policies? It's too scary to think about so we decided to keep it as light as we could with some fun small talk and even a free association game you can play along with.

Hanging out with our friend Travis Sherer is happy enough without drinking. A welcome relief from the talk about politics and doomsday. Travis talks about his adorable kids and what it's like to be a comedian on the verge of big things then being shut down by Covid 19.

Susan and Art get to bitch about their all time weird drive in comedy show, performing for a parking lot full of cars. Also, Trump's hospital stay and some of the other news from our bizarro world of today. 

Post Traumatic Debate Syndrome

Yes it gets political. We just couldn't let this week go by without trying to make some sense of a world where a presidential debate turns into a dumpster fire. So we got a hold of repeat guest Carl Wolfson, our political expert and wonderful comedian friend. Apologies for some bad sound. Carl's wifi connection was in and out so there's some glitching. Or was it the CIA? Russian hackers? Is somebody trying to keep him quiet? Just sayin. If you can get through the annoying glitches, it's worth it.
